Adriana brings wisdom, experience, curiosity, and intuition to her work in a manner that’s heartfelt, warm, open, and accepting.
Adriana approaches therapy from a collaborative and integrative standpoint, believing that mind, body, and soul are connected. She invites her clients to incorporate dreams, drawing, sandtray, writing, and meditation into their work with her. Her clinical training at a community agency has given her the opportunity to work with adults and couples from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. She has also worked with women victims of domestic violence and/or childhood abuse who struggle with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, panic attacks, and low self-esteem. Supervised by the licensed Marriage and Family Clinical Supervisory Team at the Center, Adriana works with the full range of issues that people bring to therapy.
“Therapy is an enriching journey to heal the pain of our past, acknowledge our present, and create our future. I believe that our self-image and our relationships are deeply influenced by the experiences we had in our childhood. Some of the beliefs about ourselves formed during those early years shape our present experiences. As one reaches within and faces the wounds and the pains of childhood, wounds can be healed and one can discover and nurture one’s authentic self, that complex and unique being that one truly is. I believe that each person has within oneself an innate, guiding wisdom and the ability to heal, grow, and transform.”
